Plan Toys started life in 1981 as the first company in the world to manufacture wooden toys from preservative-free, organic rubberwood, a sustainable material that minimises waste.

Plan Toys continues to adopt eco-friendly practices, such as the use of recycled and recyclable packaging and replanting of trees.

A focus on safety is paramount; Plan Toys uses water and soy-based, non-toxic dyes which are safe for children and are also more durable and longer-lasting than oil and chemical-based paints, and utilises many other safe and sustainable materials such as non-formaldeyde glue.

Plan Toys continues to innovate and look for new ways to improve and preserve the environment. In 2010, they introduced a new eco-material and manufacturing technique called PlanWood which is a high-density fibre composite wood made from reclaimed wood particles!
